The Mai-Wel Group’s newest business venture, a locally based e-cycling service, offers local business and industry the opportunity to discard small or large quantities of unwanted electrical equipment such as computers, printers and televisions in an environmentally friendly and economical way.
For a small fee, our team will collect your unwanted electrical items from your business at a time that is convenient for you.
We can also supply a ‘certificate of destruction’ so you have peace of mind knowing your unwanted hard drive’s have been destroyed confidentially.
99% of items can be recycled and some items are able to be refurbished for resale to local charities.
Mai-Wel E-Cycling Services is based in the Hunter Region of NSW providing a comprehensive recycling service of all electronic goods for Government, businesses large and small, plus residential ratepayers. All items are disassembled to commodity components locally, commodities are taken to the market place after being disassembled in Australia. We do not ship whole items overseas for disassembly.
- All Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) glass is fully recycled in Australia by Australia’s only CRT recycling facility in South Australia.
- All lead and glass is recovered for remanufacturing.
- We are able to offer secure hard drive destruction; physical destruction - drilling 1-7 holes depending on your needs, electronic destruction using the latest security software
- Certificates of destruction are issued for all physical and electronic destruction methods.
Mai-Wel E-Cycling Services currently works in partnership with five Local Governments to provide E-Cycling services to residential rate payers. These services are managed by Hunter Resource Recovery (HRR) owned by Maitland, Cessnock and Lake Macquarie Councils. E-Cycling contracts also exist with Newcastle and Port Stephens Councils.
All commodities including steel, cabling, circuit boards, precious metals and many others are sold on the open market to offset the costs of disassembly.
Mai-Wel E-Cycling Services can provide cost competitive pricing on a per tonne or per item basis to be processed in our Hunter Valley Location.
