One of the ways we measure our success at HLFS is by job retention rates over 6 months. We believe that this is also a great way of measuring how well we match clients to meet employers needs. Whilst not every employment placement we make works out, most do. In 2007, 86% of people we placed into employment achieved long term retention.

A: Yes, we have a range of subsidies that we can offer employers to assist with the cost of low productivity workers and training whilst workers are learning their jobs.

A: In relation to the costs of workplace accommodations and adjustments, 65% of employers rated the financial effect to be cost neutral and 20 % identified an overall cost benefit.

A: Employees with a disability average one sixth of the recorded OH&S incidents of employees without a disability. 98% of employees with a disability have an average or superior safety record compared to other employees.

Hailey Black came to work with us in our Cafe through Hunter LabourForce Solutions 4 years ago. Through these years Hailey has developed great skills. I find her to be an invaluable part of our cafe, especially in the kitchen. Hailey is now able to make savoury tarts, cakes, cookies etc following a recipe. Although she can work unaided I supervise just to make sure everything is ‘ok’. She shows initiative & is very, very loyal and respectful. Some of her ideas come from left field & she amazes me. I always say “I love the way your brain works” & she loves it, we have a good laugh. At first my husband and I had our challenges working with a person with a disability; however it has been truly wonderful.
