Gerald's Update - Day Twelve
We were up early this morning. It was still overcast but a lot milder.
We filled up the spare jerry can before heading off to our first quick stop north of Port Augusta. It's a pretty baron country side. We stopped at Pimba Roadhouse for a coffee and to rang mum for Mother’s Day and wished my sister Anita a happy 50th birthday.
We continued on with a few rest stops before refueling at Glendambo Roadhouse where we had a bite for lunch then and continued on. There was not a cloud in the sky but it was still a bit cool. It's real outback country.
We arrived in Coober Pedy around 5:20pm where we refuelled, set up our campsite for the night, put trail tyres on the bike, had tea at the Roadhouse before we showered and went to bed.
We traveled 549km for today. The kill switch on the bike is playing up - probably from all the rainy days. We'll keep an eye on it.
