Gerald's Update - Day Seven
Another cold start to the morning as we set off to the south of Tassie.
First stop was Huonville to fuel up and grab a coffee, then across the road to the Visitor Centre where we got some information and shared our story which they posted on their Facebook page (click here to see the post).
Next rest stop was at Dover, then onto Cockle Creek on the South Cape Peninsula. It's the southernmost street in Australia. We grabbed some photos and I collected some sea water before we took off again, stopping for lunch back at Dover. As it was not too bad of a day we made a detour to Mt Wellington where we got a magnificent view of Hobart and surroundings but it was damn cold.
To finish the day we went down to Hobart for our accommodation, showered, had tea and watched some TV.
We traveled 273 km today in a cold but reasonably pleasant day. Extreme point number two, Australia's most southern point, done! ✅
