Gerald's Update - Day Nine

Didn’t have to leave early from Strahan this morning as the day looked pretty bleak for sightseeing. We grabbed a photo on the main street at 8.00am before heading off to Zeehan for a coffee. It was cold and overcast. Later we stopped for a wander around Rosebery then continued on in the cold rain through some thick bushland and had to stop and refuel in the rain just short of Burnie. We got to Burnie around 12.30 for a pie and coffee - it has been our staple diet while in Tassie. I had to change socks as my feet were numb and Tony refueled while I just sat in the rain. In Davenport we wandered around town waiting to board the boat to Melbourne. We got on board around 5.30pm, showered and relaxed for the boat ride.

Charlie the mascot frog was soaked but he never complains.

Today we covered 243km.
