Mai-Wel Creative Arts 'Diversity' exhibition, 4th to 30th December 2018 at Cessnock Regional Art Gallery
As the name suggests, Mai-Wel Creative Arts' 'Diversity' exhibition, celebrates diversity through a variety of artistic mediums as well as the individual artists involved.
Diverse is the nature of the Mai-Wel Creative Arts supported studio and the artists who access the service - from the age, cultural background and life experience of an individual, to their style, preferred medium and technique, interest, method and concept behind their art practice. No two artists are the same!
The art pieces that make this exhibition have been created in the Mai-Wel Creative Arts supported studio, where artists foster the individually unique, the potential of collaboration and celebrate inclusivity.
Throughout 2018, the artists contributing to the 'Diversity' exhibition have taken inspiration from various cultures, time periods and artistic movements resulting in vastly diverse works manifested in the exhibition of sculpture, painting and installation art.
Cessnock Regional Art Gallery and The Mai-Wel Group are champions of inclusive arts.
