Gala Ball 2018

11-Jan-2018

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2018 Mai-Wel Gala Ball, proudly presented by Imagine Now I.T

On Saturday, 28th April, 2018, 300 guests came together at the Maitland Town Hall for Mai-Wel's 8th Annual Gala Ball, proudly presented by Imagine Now I.T. Guests were treated to a twilight pre-party outside before heading into the hall for a night of enchantment and magic; wining, dining and dancing the night away to eight-piece band Big Bam Wham.

Mai-Wel's CEO, Pennie Kearney attended the event, and was thrilled with the support provided to Mai-Wel.

“The first Gala Ball was a celebration of Mai-Wel’s 50 years of operations,” said Pennie.

Over the past seven years the Gala Ball has raised more than $150,000 for people with a disability and jobseekers in the Hunter region.

“The funds raised this year will assist the new and exciting Thrive Farm Project,” said Ms Kearney.

“The new outdoor project space will provide additional and unique training opportunities and skill development of our jobseekers.”

Money raised from the evening will be allocated to supporting youth and disadvantages jobseekers by offering prevocational training opportunities. Funds will be used to secure and fund the ideal outdoor space for the Thrive Farm Project which will assist with jobseeker skill development and increase employment opportunities for young people in the Hunter.

The Mai-Wel Group wishes to thank and acknowledge the following event sponsors; Imagine Now I.T., Starr Partners, Signature Clothing, Hunter Signs, Capral Aluminium, The Maitland Mercury, Newcastle Herald, NBN, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, Tooheys, Lovey’s Grocers, Blue Star Catering, A1 Audio and Lighting, Lumina Visual, Australia Dance and Talent Centre and Mobilistic DJs.
