Buyability breakfast brings supported employment to parliament house
The BuyAbility Parliamentary Breakfast was held at Parliament House on 5th September, 2017, with 30 MPs and more than 160 Disability Enterprise representatives in attendance.
Pennie Kearney, CEO, and Anthony Rohr, General Manager, attended on behalf of Mai-Wel and spoke to MP’s about the importance of Disability Enterprises in providing meaningful employment for people with disability.
BuyAbility is an initiative of National Disability Services (NDS) aimed at growing supported employment to give people with disability the opportunity to participate in the workforce. We celebrate the successes of the sector as significant social and economic contributors to their local communities. BuyAbility Procurement is committed to increasing employment opportunities of people with disability through the management of socially responsible procurement opportunities for Disability Enterprises.
