Chloe follows PaTH to job offer

PaTH Internships are a new initiative that enable young jobseekers to undertake a work experience-like program to see if they are a good fit for a job.

Chloe Kirk-Marselos came to  Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions Cessnock with some hospitality experience but hadn’t been successful in securing a position with consistent hours.

A PaTH Internship provided a great opportunity for Chloe to exhibit her hospitality skills together with her bright and bubbly personality, good work ethic and reliable nature to a potential employer.

Chloe was offered the opportunity to intern during December, 2017, at Potters Brewery in Nulkaba, a very busy establishment with a high volume of diners on weekends.

Chloe’s duties included working in the restaurant, completing kitchen hand duties, food preparation and waitressing.

Ken Marquett, Head Chef and Operations Manager at Potters Brewery was impressed by Chloe’s attitude, reliability, friendly persona and above all, her enthusiasm to learn and grow. Chloe was offered a permanent position at Potters Brewery, working more than 20 hours per week.

Chloe enjoys her job and the company of her colleagues who are very encouraging and supportive of her improving her skills.
