Comets play host to Biggest Morning Tea yet!

At the end of May, hungry guests turned up in droves to support Mai-Wel’s Lifestyle & Leisure initiative, Comets, as they hosted their fourteenth annual, Biggest Morning Tea.Together, they helped raise an incredible $760.05 which will go towards Cancer Council research, prevention and support projects.

Comets participants and staff served up a delicious spread of scones, cupcakes and slices that they worked hard to prepare and source in advance of the fundraiser.

More than ninety guests attended the morning tea, including Mai-Wel participants, their family and friends, and members of the Red Cross, who are long-time friends and supporters of Comets.

One of the Red Cross members in attendance, Barbara Cameron, said she and other Red Cross members were very happy to support Comets’ Biggest Morning Tea, and enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with friends.

“I’m very happy to support Comets, just as they support our Red Cross Hoi days,” said Barbara.

Comets participants and staff would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to their Biggest Morning Tea, and supported the fundraiser through their generous donations.
