Gerald returns from his desert ride
$7944.20 raised during Ride Around Australia 2017
A total of 9 deserts
13,200kms travelled (6,000kms were on dirt road)
Australian Book of Records holder and father of Mai-Wel supported employee, Gerald Frogley, departed for his second ride around Australia on Monday 1st May, 2017 from Mai-Wel Head Office at Telarah.
Gerald and the crew encountered it all; dirt roads, river crossings, corrugations, pot holes, rocks and sandy sections, flooded road crossings, all while tacking the hot and dusty condfitions and dodging local wildlife!
After 30 days on the road, Gerald returned with his support crew Tony and Jony Hughes to a welcoming crowd at Mai-Wel Head Office.
Gerald rode through nine deserts on his Honda CBR125 road bike, the same bike he entered the ‘Australian Book of Records’ on in May, 2015.
A big thank you to Gerald and his support crew Rod, Tony and Jony for taking on a new challenge and raising some funds for Mai-Wel along the way.
