Heritage Motor Group gives Mai-Wel the VIP treatment

Mai-Wel staff enjoy the benefits of the Heritage Motor Group VIP Package

It’s no secret Heritage Motor Group has a long history of supporting local disability service provider, The Mai-Wel Group. Whether they are sponsoring or attending Mai-Wel’s fundraising events or employing people with a disability through Mai-Wel’s employment service, Heritage Motor Group is consistently trying to find new ways to provide  support. 

So it was no surprise to Mai-Wel CEO, Pennie Kearney, when Dealer Principal, Michael Taylor, and Fleet Manager, Jim Appleby, presented a new initiative that would not only raise funds for Mai-Wel but would provide direct benefits to Mai-Wel staff and supported employees.

“Mai-Wel is privileged to have the unwavering, generous support of Heritage Motor Group. Like Mai-Wel, they have a long, proud history in the Hunter and their commitment to supporting the community is truly commendable. What sets them apart is how proactive they are in finding ways to give back, and this initiative is a perfect example of this.” 

Early September saw the Heritage Motor Group VIP Package successfully rolled out across Mai-Wel. Staff and supported employees were given VIP key chains giving them access to a great range of benefits when they purchase a car or use Heritage Motor Group’s servicing facilities on their existing vehicles including extended warranties, servicing extras and towing discounts. In addition to these benefits, the automotive dealer has also generously committed to making cash donations to Mai-Wel whenever Mai-Wel staff and supported employees take advantage of this VIP Package.

Dealer Principal, Michael Taylor, is thrilled to find a new way to support the not-for-profit organisation, “Heritage Motor Group has long admired the great work being done by Mai-Wel for the people of Maitland and further afield. It’s why we chose to get involved through sponsoring their fundraising events and instigating a work training program with them that has been running here for over 5 years. We view Mai-Wel like part of the family and this is just us looking for another way of firstly rewarding the staff who deal with us and also providing additional support to the organisation.”
