Jade’s Transition to Work in childcare
One year into the workforce, working at a local service station, Jade reached out to Mai-Wel’s youth employment service, Transition to Work (TTW), for help to secure a “career”.
Working with Jade, TTW narrowed down her ideal career path and identifed a suitable role in just 1 week - a traineeship at Chelmsford Drive Early Learning Centre (CDELC) in Metford.
The TTW team assisted Jade through the application and interview process and she was thrilled to secure the traineeship, which upon completion will provide a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.
“TTW is great. They helped me find the job and get ready for the interview,” says Jade, “and they gave me the confidence to know I could do it!”
Linda, the Director of CDELC, has also been impressed with the process of Jade’s employment, “TTW have been very supportive for both Jade and myself. They found me the person I was looking for!”
Mai-Wel LabourForce Solutions will provide post placement support for Jade and Linda for the first six months of Jade’s traineeship.
