5.5 tonne custom crate order carries MWE timber production into new year
The hot summer didn’t slow production in the Mai-Wel Enterprises timber workshop. With a flow of pallet and crate orders, the team had no time to steadily ease back into production after the Christmas break.
A custom order from J & S Engineering saw the team build a massive 5.8m long x 0.6m wide x 0.6m high, lined wooden crate in just two days. The crate was built to hold a 5.5 tonne cylindrical metal shaft used for mining machinery.
The job was a team effort with 24 hands on deck to ensure a quick and precise job. With custom orders a regular job in the workshop, the team tackled this one with confidence.
