Supporting employees to build skills and industry knowledge

07-May-2018

Supported employees at Mai-Wel Enterprises have taken the opportunity to expand their workplace skills by completing study for Certificate I in Work Education and a Certificate III in Process Manufacturing through Sphere Training.

Tony Heard, Manager of Mai-Wel Enteprises, says the training was identified as an opportunity for supported employees to expand their knowledge across topics like WHS, workplace communication, teamwork and specific industry practices like equipment inspections and technical drawings.

“The nationally recognised Certification has allowed our supported employees to have their skills formally recognised.”

The training was delivered by Sphere Training staff one day per week through a mix of written and computer work,  group assignments and practical workplace exercises.

The supported employees will be awarded their certificates at a special BBQ in June, 2018.
