CFMEU donate $4,000 to Mai-Wel
On Tuesday 29th August, 2017, two representatives from the CFMEU Mt Thorley Warkworth Lodge presented Mai-Wel with a cheque for $4,000 on behalf of their members.
Scott Baird, Lodge Secretary and Warren Daniel, Lodge President met with Kyllie Tegg, Manager of Employment Services for a tour of Mai-Wel’s newest training space at 555 High Street, Maitland.
Funds received from the CFMEU will be allocated to fitting out The Zone, a training space for young jobseekers with a disability.
“Our lodge members are pleased to be able to support six worthwhile charities in our community. Our members are enthusiastic to see how they can broaden their reach and support a greater number of charities next year”, said Scott.
Each member makes a regular donation each pay, which is then totalled up and divided among six charities.
Mai-Wel was delighted to be one of the chosen charities along with Hunter Aspect, Calvary Mater Oncology, Red Nose, CanTeen and Ronald McDonald House.
This is the second year Mai-Wel has been a recipient of the funds.
Mai-Wel would like to extend their sincere thanks to the members of the CFMEU Mt Thorley Warkworth Lodge.
