Successful ClubGrants application supports volunteer training

The Mai-Wel Group is thrilled to be the recipients of a $2,000 Club Grant from East Maitland Bowling Club.

The funds will be allocated to providing First Aid training for dedicated volunteers.

“Mai-Wel’s dedicated volunteers give so much of their time to support our staff and participants so it’s really great for us to be in a position to offer them a free training opportunity,” says Corinne Frost, Mai-Wel’s Coordinator of Volunteers.

Mai-Wel volunteers give their time through face-to-face support of participants and staff, administrative tasks and event support.

In 2018/19, Mai-Wel’s team of dedicated volunteers donated 12,196 hours of their time, a 13% increase from the 11,300 hours donated in 2017/18.

People interested in volunteering their time to support Mai-Wel, on a regular or one-off basis, can click here to complete a Volunteer Application Form or can contact Corinne on 4057 2900 or to discuss the opportunities.
