Mai-Wel Creative Arts up the tempo with six Live and Loud events to rock Maitland and Cessnock

04-Feb-2019

Coming off the success of the 2018 Live and Loud series, Mai-Wel Creative Arts is preparing for an even bigger and better 2019 with six big nights of entertainment scheduled to please audiences across venues in Maitland and Cessnock.

The first Live and Loud, set for Wednesday 13th February at Hotel Cessnock, will see performers celebrate women in music in support of International Women’s Day, celebrated internationally on 8th March.

The night of free entertainment will commence at 6.15pm. All welcome!

Steve Burchill, Creative Arts Facilitator is happy to see Live and Loud grow so successfully from a small showcase of performers in 2014 to a regular event on the Hunter’s social calendar.

“It’s great to see Live and Loud being recognised as the amazing socially inclusive event that it is,” said Steve.

“In 2018 we held our first Live and Loud in Cessnock which was a great success. It’s nice to see our hard-working participants have the opportunity to play live and show off their talents across both audiences in Maitland and Cessnock.

In January, Mai-Wel Creative Arts was announced as a recipient of a Maitland City Council Community Grant to deliver three Live and Loud events across just Maitland alone in 2019.

“We are keen to see what comes next for both Live and Loud and our performers.”

Upcoming dates for Live and Loud in 2019:

  • Wednesday 10th April in Maitland, venue TBA,
  • Wednesday 12th June at Hotel Cessnock,
