Play-Wel raises $20,000!
The Mai-Wel Group’s 6th annual corporate sports day, Play-Wel for Mai-Wel, proudly presented by In Properties for Investors was held at Maitland Indoor Sports Centre on Thursday 5th November, 2015.
The day saw 16 teams consisting of 140 players from more than 40 Hunter businesses competing to raise funds for The Mai-Wel Group.
More than just a sporting challenge, players also contest to raise the highest amount of funds in a bid to take home the Fundraising Champion trophies. Alicia Parish, from the Commonwealth Bank raised an impressive $1752 taking home the title of Fundraising Champion Individual, followed closely by Donna Plumridge from In Properties for Investors who raised $1210.
Team NAB took home the Champion Sporting Team trophy after a nail biting dodgeball play-off with ‘The Macs’ (a team comprising of McCosker Partners, Hunter Recruitment Group and Love and Adorn).
The combined fundraising effort by the teams and individuals of the Play-Wel challenge raised more than $20,000 which will be allocated to Mai-Wel’s Creative Arts Program to provide all-inclusive art and performance opportunities for people with a disability or disadvantage in our local community.
