Gerald's Ride Around Australia raises $6,000
After 27 days on the road, Gerald Frogley has returned to Maitland after his massive 12,500km Ride Around Australia having raised $6,032.25 for The Mai-Wel Group.
On 1st May, Gerald left Mai-Wel Enterprises on his Honda CBR125 motorcycle, with a goal to visit Australia’s highest, lowest, most northern and southern points in 30 days.
Incredibly, Gerald and his support crew of Rod and Tony, completed the journey to Mt Kosciusko (New South Wales), South Cape (Tasmania), Lake Eyre (South Australia) and Cape York (Queensland) three days short of their goal.
This is Gerald’s third Ride Around Australia for Disability, an initiative he commenced in 2015 as a way to raise money for and give thanks to Mai-Wel for it’s support of his son Stephen, a supported employee of Mai-Wel Enterprises.
We now eagerly await confirmation from The Australian Book of Records to see if Gerald's ride has been successfully recognised as an Australian record. We will keep you posted!
