The MOVEMENT is coming to Cessnock Performing Arts Centre

18-Apr-2016

The MOVEMENT is a musical theatre group for people of all abilities!

Commencing on Thursday, 28th April, and open to all members of the community, the group will meet at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre, exploring original and adapted musical theatre pieces through fun, interactive workshops.

Steve Burchill, Creative Arts Facilitator at Mai-Wel, is passionate about making musical theatre accessible to everyone.

“This group is for anyone who loves singing, dancing and performing musical theatre. From amateurs to musical theatre connoisseurs alike, we invite members of the community to come along and get involved with this fun, creative, inclusive and social group,” said Steve.

The MOVEMENT will be delivered fortnightly by experienced artists and musical theatre enthusiasts from the Mai-Wel Creative Arts team, who have been providing community inclusive arts activities since 2013. Participants will be able to develop their performance skills, abilities and interests in this group which will culminate in a number of exciting performance opportunities. One of these will be Destiny: The Musical, debuting in December, 2017.
