Cessnock locals are invited to Mai-Wel’s first expo of services and opportunities available to people with disabilities and youth in Cessnock, set for Friday, 7th September 2018 from 10am to 2pm at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre on Vincent Street.
The aim of the expo is to raise awareness of the services available in Cessnock that assists people to live with independence and to thrive across areas of their life including their lifestyle and leisure, living options and working life.
Regional Manager of Mai-Wel services in Cessnock, Craig Williamson, says the availability of Mai-Wel opportunities in Cessnock continues to grow to meet the demands of the community. The expo is a great way for people to see what exactly is available and how to best utilise the supports.
“As a registered provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and a well-known Hunter-based support service for more than 50 years, we are proud to increase our commitment to Cessnock, offering a vast range of services for all ages, right here in the local community,” Craig said.
“The expo is a really great opportunity for the Cessnock community to meet us and have a chat to staff about how the services available can be best utilised to enhance their lives, or that of their friend or family member.”
On the day, Mai-Wel staff will be onsite to talk and provide tangible information about the options available for people across lifestyle and leisure, living options, working like and support coordination.
